"Distributor of the Year" title awarded to AB S.A. in the annual CRN Poland readers' poll.
The winners of the competition were determined by the votes of the resellers and integrators who thus pointed out people and companies with the biggest influence on the distribution channel of the Polish IT industry. AB S.A. won the "Distributor of the Year" title for the fifth year running.
Completion of the new AB S.A. Distribution Center in Magnice near Wroclaw
The new AB S.A. Distribution Center will stand out, among others, due to cutting-edge solutions for warehouse automation. The full launch of the Centre is planned in the summer of 2015.

AB S.A. builds the new distribution centre, located in logistically perfect place – Magnice (148 000 square metres) – a strategic location by reason of proximity to A4 motorway and Wrocław’s ring road.
E-commerce services development

The EMEA Distributor Initiative of the Year Award for the relaunch of the Optimus brand
AB Group has been awarded for the relaunch of the Optimus brand. The project was recognised for creativity, innovation and the impact on both the company and the market.
Acquisition of Rekman - leading toys distributor
AB S.A. bought 100 percent shares of a leading Polish toys distributor - Rekman. Thus, it expanded activities on the toys distribution segment.
Purchase of Optimus
AB S.A. buys one of the most famous brands in the Polish IT history - Optimus. At the same time the Optimus sp. z o.o. subsidiary has been established, which will be simultaneously: the franchisor, integrator and equipment manufacturer. Computers, servers and Optimus network devices will, among others, enter the market.
Launch of the TB Touch brand
TB Touch is a new brand of tablets. It consists of four lines of products: Ignis, Aqua, Terra, Aer - with different technological advancement levels. This is the fourth AB S.A. store brand under the TB sign. After TB Print (printer consumables), TB Energy (LED light sources) and TB Clean (cleaning agents for electronic equipment) the TB Touch time has come.
AB Distribution of the Year 2013 of the Central and Eastern Europe
AG Group was awarded in the category “Central and Eastern Europe Distributor of the Year”. The award was presented during the Distree EMEA 2013 conference – the most important event gathering representatives of IT industry. Distributor of the Year 2013 title was awarded to the AB Group as a result of the merger of votes of the largest IT hardware manufacturers and as a result of Channel Watch survey conducted by the company of CONTEXT within the area of EMEA among resellers.

This is the most reliable standard of environmental management, requiring higher standard than the international norm ISO 14001. Belonging to the above system is a guarantee of the reliability of environmental organization for its business partners, national administration and public opinion.
Ernst&Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011
In November 2011 Andrzej Przybyło, Chairman of the Board of AB, was awarded the title of the Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 in the category of Services. The competition was organized by Ernst&Young for the ninth time and enjoys high prestige in the business world. The Chairman of the Board of AB was awarded the prize “for combining competence, fortitude and passion, and for all his efforts put in creating the company”. This special award coincided with another record financial year for AB Group and the past two decades of the company.
Implementation of a new ERP and BI system
The company of AB has decided to update the ERP platform in order to improve management processes within key business areas. Access to rapid and precise information is vital. Serving 15 thousand trading partners and offering a wide range of products – more than 700 brands, the IT system is an indispensable tool for the smooth functioning of the company and releasing additional development potential.As a result of ERP implementation a new comprehensive system streamlining business processes has been formed. A great advantage of implementation of the new ERP system was a parallel implementation of Business Intelligence Program. The company gained a developed solution for controlling, budgeting and reporting processes ensuring strict control over financial and logistic processes.

Its mission is to familiarize IT manufacturers and investors the role of distribution in the market of new technologies and creating a common communication platform. Modernization and development of logistic centre
The strength of AB is its modern logistic system. In the years 2008/2009 Wrocław Distribution Centre was modernised on the basis of the latest solutions within the scope of warehousing techniques. Multi-level mezzanine for collecting product and integrated, fully-scalable warehouse automation system significantly affected efficiency and decreased logistic costs.
Implementation of ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2005
The company gained the certificate of Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001 certification regarding environmental management system which purpose is to enable organizations to develop policy and environmental objectives.
Acquisition of ATComuputers Holding a.s.
One of the elements of the Prospectus was international expansion. Thanks to acquired capital, already in 2007, AB acquired Czech AT Computers Holding a.s. – IT distributor and computer manufacturer operating in the Czech and Slovak markets, becoming a leader in the distribution sector within the area of its operation. It was one of the largest successful acquisitions on the market. Acquisition of ATC took place in the moment of the economic boom, which allowed to gain the benefits resulting from the synergy and increase the scope of operations. At the time of purchase, ATC was the third largest company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and is now in terms of revenue market leader in the Czech Republic.
First initial offering of shares and début on the Warsaw Stock Exchange
Flourishing, in 2006 the company decided to début on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. After the introduction of the company to the stock exchange the management board didn't stop developing but proceeded to implement the objectives specified in the prospectus such as development of new sale channels and directions. Today AB is present not only in countries neighbouring with Poland from the South but also exports goods to such countries as Lithuania, Latvia or Ukraine. Moreover, the company decided to optimize and develop the product portfolio and improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Implementation of ERP
ERP implementation was combined with on-line integration of other branches with the logistics system in Wrocław. Originally each branch had its own system and has been managed separately. In order to improve the functioning of ever-blooming company, it has been decided to implement Enterprise Resource Planning System. It allowed for costs optimization and further expansion within the IT distribution market.
Start-up of AB Online
AB Online is one of the first websites of IT distribution covering from the very beginning full integration with ERP (in terms of sale, service, logistics).
Transformation in AB S.A.
One of the landmark moments in the company's history was gaining capital and know-how within the scope of modern financial management by cooperation with Enterprise Investors Fund. Taking the scale of operations and dynamic development of the company into consideration, despite reinvesting all profits the company was still missing capital for further development. An independent financial partner gave the company the chance to expand its operation by strengthening its foundations.
Developing a network of branches in major Polish cities
Despite poor road infrastructure and lack of friendly means of communications such as e.g. mobile phones, AB decided to respond to market needs and consumers by expanding network of its branches in the largest Polish cities such as Wrocław, Warsaw, Łódź Katowice, Szczecin, Gdańsk, Poznań and Krakow. In was a big step forward in the company's history. The customer relationship get added value – quick implementation of customer needs and building long-lasting trading relationships by availability of traders.
Foundation of family business – AB Commercial Enterprises
AB was founded in the early 90's as a single-person company. It was a moment of enormous economic changes in Poland. Only opening up to the West showed the extent to which Poland was undeveloped in terms of IT infrastructure in comparison to richer countries of Western Europe. Both individual customers as well as state and private sector were interested in computers and new technologies. The 90's was also the time of prosperity for a lot of small private companies. Young entrepreneurs did not have good examples to follow and ready-made solutions which they could use. Each new entrepreneur had to put a lot of work and time to gradually learn to develop business in the new economic order. The Chairman Andrzej Przybyło decided to take this step and as shown by the time it was the beginning of a success.
